As a Production Manager, I often saw the disconnect between the maintenance department and the rest of the team.

How long has this machine down? What parts are we waiting for? Who last worked on it? Too often, machinery would fail and either nobody knew the answers—or only a single technician did.

Information was scattered: post-it notes stuck to equipment, updates pinned to a bulletin board, or details buried in binders and folders. At best, the maintenance team knew the situation—but everyone else was left guessing. At worst, no one knew what was really happening.

I tried other maintenance apps, but they were overly complicated, designed mainly for engineers, and far too expensive. What was missing was something straightforward—an app that keeps everyone on the same page.

Since I couldn’t find it, I decided to build it!

And in 2023, Equipment Dashboard was born.
